On December
11th MHS Art
Department held its Fourth Annual Snow Bash, a
half-day art exhibition. MHS art students’ work was
on display throughout the art wing classrooms and hallways “salon style.” Musicians
performed jazz music throughout the morning.
Students could view TV
Production classes’ videos, create their own comic strip, get their portrait
taken by photography students, or sample goodies
from Chef's classes.
Teachers from all departments were invited to bring their classes to the art wing to view and discuss the work on display with student docents, and to listen to performers.
This exhibition gave art
students an opportunity to articulate their creative process in lively
discussions with peers and teachers. This event also fostered a dialogue
between departments.
