GRAPHIC ARTIST LUBA LUKOVA
Internationally recognized, New
York based Luba Lukova is regarded as one of the most distinctive image-makers
working today. Whether by using an economy of line, color and text to pinpoint
essential themes of the human condition or to succinctly visualize social
commentary, her art is undeniably powerful and thought
provoking. Utilizing engaging composition and energetic contrasts, her
distinctive style is powerful in its simplicity and vivid palette.
Lukova's work has been widely
exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Solo shows include UNESCO, Paris, DDD
Gallery, Osaka, La MaMa Gallery, New York, and the Art Institute of Boston. Her
work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New
York; Denver Art Museum; the Library of Congress; and the World Bank. She
is the author of the critically acclaimed Social Justice portfolio, an
evocative collection of social commentary art that transcends language,
culture, and politics. The collection has been exhibited around the world and
has also gone viral on the Internet.
