In September Andrew Scoglio and Nick Gould joined MHS Unified Arts
Department. We are excited to have them on board and are looking forward to
sharing their talent and expertise.
Andrew
Scoglio (left) directs the a cappella program and teaches chorus and general music
classes at Marblehead High School. Mr. Scoglio holds a Bachelor of Music degree
in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he studied
voice and piano. As a singer in the UMass Chamber Choir, Scoglio toured
Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, performing in famous venues such as
Melk Abbey in Austria and the Lobkowicz Palace in Pargue. In addition to his
teaching schedule, Mr. Scoglio maintains an active schedule as a free-lance
singer. He recently joined the roster of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus which
performs year round with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops. Mr.
Scoglio is a recipient of the Massachusetts Music Educator's Promising Music
Educator Award. In his free time, Andrew Scoglio enjoys running, hiking, and
spending time with his family's two cats, Linus and Lucy.
Nick Gould (right) serves as the theatre teacher for Marblehead High
School. Mr. Gould earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts at the
University of Texas at Arlington, where he completed both the Performance and

playwright, and stage manager. In addition to teaching, he continues to work
with local theatres to improve his own technique. Currently, he sits on the
Board of Directors for Colonial Chorus Players, a community theatre group in
Reading. In his spare time, Mr. Gould likes to write and play video games. He
invites everyone to check out his website, nickgould.weebly.com, to see
